BY09 is a steam driven Naval landing party launch of the late 1800s. The Navy would use coal or wood to fire up a small steam box to power these little boats. Landing parties would be ferried to shore from larger craft and supplies would also arrive this way. 
 
The launch set comes complete with accessories and 6 gloss painted figures with date appropriate dress and weaponry, as pictured.
