BY09a is a steam driven Naval cargo boat of the late 1800s. The Navy would use coal or wood to fire up a small steam box to power these little boats. Landing parties would be ferried to shore from larger craft and supplies would also arrive this way. 
 
The cargo boat set comes complete with payload accessories and 3 gloss painted figures with date appropriate dress, as pictured.
